To start my journey, I have chosen to grill quail. You might ask, what is quail? And why would you choose to grill quail? Quail is a small premium quality bird. It is way more natural than other birds, and it is organically raised in quail farms. Also, in some countries quail are considered a delicacy. So, I thought of quail as the perfect choice to start: where culinary elegance meets outdoor grilling. Quail is not a common choice on traditional grilling; however, we intend to explore whatever nature has to offer, we are trying to be different and natural. Quail balances delicate flavors with a smoky char, resulting in a truly unforgettable experience.

  1. To begin, we'll start by marinating the quail, which we got fresh from our local farm. We will marinate it in a blend of aromatic herbs, zesty citrus, and a touch of olive oil. This infusion of flavors will enhance the natural richness of the quail, ensuring each bite is bursting with exquisite taste. Once marinated we will insert our quails in a large sword like skewer.
  2. Next, we'll fire up the grill to a medium-high heat, allowing the quail to cook evenly and develop a beautiful caramelized crust. As the flames dance beneath the grill grates, they impart a subtle smokiness that complements the tender meat of the quail, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors.
  3. Throughout the grilling process, we'll carefully baste the quail with a luscious glaze of the marinate we used at the beginning. This glaze will coat the quail, creating a glossy finish and enhancing its succulence.
  4. As the quail reaches perfection, we'll transfer them to a serving platter, allowing the aromas to waft through the air, enticing your senses. The tender, juicy quail will be adorned with a sprinkle of fresh herbs, adding a final burst of freshness and visual appeal.
  5. With each bite, you'll discover the melt-in-your-mouth texture, the delicate balance of flavors, and the satisfaction of a perfectly grilled quail.
